Employers are looking for the most diverse and comprehensive benefits along with the flexibility to contain costs. The Group Department has many options to fill your client’s needs. SM Group

Small Group health carriers offer fully insured flexible plan designs for the 2-50 market that will satisfy the employer’s budget but also meet the employee’s health needs.

The small group arena typically offers options from low cost limited benefit plans to the most comprehensive benefits health plans available. HSA-friendly plans are also available with all carriers. The Group Department also offers flexible self-funded plans. These plans are available for group’s 10-99 lives. The self-funded plans are ERISA based and outside of Health Care Reform. These group plans are a unique answer for smaller employers trying to save money on the cost of their group health benefits.

LG Group

Large group carriers are typically in the 50+ market. The group plan designs are very comparable to the small group arena such as: fully insured benefits, HSA-friendly health plans or the flexible self-funded plans.

Ancillary

Group carriers who specialize in the group ancillary market typically offer excellent benefit options along with better rates when products are bundled together such as: Group Life, AD&D, Vision, Dental, Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability. Most group carriers offer both employer-funded and employee-paid platforms.

Limited Benefit

Fully insured group limited benefit health plans and group GAP products are available when the employer needs to control costs.

Either of these group plans can be sold on a standalone basis or under a small or large group medical plan. By increasing the medical deductible, the limited benefit or GAP product can help offset the additional employee exposure.

Retiree

Seniors Choice is a Group Retirement Medical program designed for 65+ employees or retirees. The plan offers Guarantee Issue with full takeover of pre-existing. Brand name prescriptions are covered in the “donut hole”. The Part D portion of this plan can be sold separately.
